We offset your carbon footprint by restoring the native forest

We offer the SEAMOS CO2 Neutral service, a carbon footprint measurement, and compensation service

What is the carbon footprint?

It corresponds to the impact or "footprint" that a company, person, or event leaves in the atmosphere. To measure it, we count the greenhouse gases (GHG), responsible for climate change, which are generated directly and indirectly by a company, a person or an event and are expressed in tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO 2).

What is Carbon Neutrality?

Carbon neutrality is achieved when a company, person, or event compensates the same amount of CO 2 equivalent to that emitted. We offer natural solutions for offsetting the carbon footprint through the planting of native trees. During their growth trees absorb or "sequester" CO 2, becoming a carbon sink for you and a lung for the world in the long term.

Let's compensate by restoring native forest

At Seamos Bosques we offer the possibility of compensating in the future by the planting of native species in the Yungas Tucumanas

Business

Why commit?

More and more companies are joining efforts to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the fight against Climate Change, demonstrating leadership and awareness.

Events

Why commit?

Events also leave their impact, for example due to the waste generated that day, the transportation of the participants, and the use of energy, among other things. To differentiate your event and ensure that it does not contribute to global climate change, you can measure and offset GHG emissions

Clients and Alliances

More and more companies are aware of the importance of social responsibility and take actions around the impact of their activities, working in favor of sustainable development and thus achieving a balance between economic growth, social well-being, and taking advantage of existing resources.

The new generations are changing their consumption modality, doing it in a more responsible way. They prefer brands that contribute to the well-being of the planet over those that do not. Businesses can contribute to that through restoration of native forests

Business

At a global level, there are emission reduction and compensation commitments for the year 2030 called science-based commitments (Science Based Targets) that allow managing GHGs
at the corporate level in search of efficiency and competitiveness.

How is the proccess?
Let's be CO2 Neutral follows the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol), the most widely used international tool for calculating and reporting the Emission Inventory.

Based on the result, priority areas are identified to reduce emissions and a long-term compensation plan is put together. This process is accompanied by training workshops and takes
approximately 8 weeks depending on the size of your organization.
Once the process is finished, your company will have:

  • Carbon footprint report
  • Footprint compensation plan
  • Certificate of the number of native trees planted for your company
  • Seal "Carbon Neutral Commitment" for commercial use
  • Annual report on the growth status and CO 2 uptake of your georeferenced forest on an interactive map
  • Annual report on the biodiversity present in your forest with exclusive audiovisual materials

There is the possibility of putting together a compensation plan for those companies that have already measured their carbon footprint. For more information and quotes write us

Events

The events also leave their impact, for example due to the waste generated that day, the transportation of the participants and the use of energy, among other things.
To differentiate your event and ensure that it does not contribute to global climate change, you can measure and offset GHG emissions.

How is the proccess?
Like the carbon footprint of a company, the scope of the inventory is determined to identify the emission sources. There is pre-event work to estimate the number of trees to plant and measurements are made during the event to obtain an accurate result.
This process can be accompanied by awareness workshops on the day of the event and takes approximately 2 weeks depending on the size of the event.

Once the process is finished, your company will have:

  • Infographics on the footprint of the event

  • Footprint compensation plan

  • Infographics on the footprint of the event Certificate of the number of native trees planted for your event

  • Seal "Carbon Neutral Commitment" for communicational use

  • Annual report on the growth status and CO uptake of your georeferenced forest on an interactive map

  • Annual report on the biodiversity present in your forest with exclusive audiovisual materials

People

We have many options to meet this challenge and a responsibility to raise awareness for future generations. Each of us generates, according to their consumption habits and lifestyle, a different amount of Greenhouse Gases. There are many actions that we can take at the individual level to reduce our personal carbon footprint until we can no longer reduce it. For example, if I have to travel by plane, what am I going to do? Offset my carbon footprint by planting native trees

How is the proccess?
To measure your footprint, you must complete this form that allows us to estimate the GHG emissions generated last year (measured during a closed year)

There are some questions that you will have to answer, some very simple about your consumption habits and others that require a little more time, such as estimating with Google Maps the distance you travel to go to work/university or check your electricity bill. How many kWh do you consume per month?

After receiving your responses, we will calculate emissions and indicate how many trees are needed to offset your footprint.
Once the process is finished, your company will have:

  • A certificate of the number of native trees planted for you

  • Seal of "Carbon Neutral Commitment" to share on networks

  • Annual report on the growth status and CO uptake of your georeferenced forest on an interactive map

  • Annual report on the biodiversity present in the forest with audiovisual material
